With the individual's interests at its core, a strong focus on transparency and sustainability, and a clear direction towards productivity, discode routes users' queries across more than 100 LLMs, actively promoting European values and the continent's digital sovereignty.

I met Moriz, discode's founder and CEO, by pure chance. As we drank a beer he passionately explained to me this massive chat-bot he was vibe-coding. A tool for power-users who are profiting from AI's superpowers, allowing them to process data and take business decisions of all kinds faster and better.

What locked me in however was his wish and need to anonymize data, his hunger for productivity instead of validation and the sheer resourcefulness with which he built his tool. From my point of view, he did not need a designer. He needed an engineer.

And that's what I turned into. I designed and engineered (via vibe-coding) a user experience that follows three simple rules:

‍The individual at its core. discode doesn't need to be intimate to remain private. It's a performant, reliable tool for people's work — nothing more.

‍Sustainable productivity. discode uses resources as efficiently as possible to help people's work move forward. It doesn't seek to engage them for the sake of data collection or model improvement, at the cost of their time.

‍Familiarity. discode is different, and people should feel this immediately, but a simple intuitive experience should help them lead the way.
